Land with a stream

1 min Wooded land we have not visited as much as we want. A little mowing opens a path to the stream and a campsite; the rest is untamed.

An aerial view of meadow and forest in summer, a dark stream winding up from the bottom left into the trees, and a gravel road along the bottom edge.

The aerial view.

A mowed clearing among birch and spruce trunks, with stacked firewood, loose logs, and a tarp-covered pile, tall meadow grass behind, and a board lying in the sunlit grass in front.

Up close.

We have a wooded piece of land; the aerial view I saved in August 2024 shows the trees, the stream, and the road. We have not been able to visit it as much as we want to, and we are still not sure how we will develop it, or what exactly we will do there.

What is there now: with a little mowing, there is access to the stream and a nice little campsite beside it. Behind that is all the rest of the land, mostly untamed. Maybe in the future we build something, once the kids are out of the house. In December 2024 Emily sent me a link to prefabricated cabins, and I remember being surprised at how affordable they were for what you get. That is as far as it has gone. No idea!
