Yellow belt, silver medal.

My daughter started in the junior taekwondo class. I was helping her with it, then joined the adult class about a year later.

Now we both practice. She is the blue belt; I am the yellow.

We have our own classes and our own progression. Being her dad did not give me a head start on the belts.

On September 19, 2026 we both competed at The Warrior’s Legacy, a National Martial Arts Alliance tournament in Eagan hosted by our own school’s Senior Master Jena Bushey. My daughter took first place in her division. I took second in sparring. The order held.
